Larry Randle Lea age 65 of Friendship, Hot Spring County, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012. He was born February 11, 1947 in Camden, AR the son of Steven Charles and Clara Rosetta Randle Lea. He was owner and operator of Interstate Contractors in Hot Springs for 43 years. Larry loved the Lord, his Church and each and every day he spent on the river. The family would like to thank Dr. Ross Bandy, Dr. Dan Owens, Dr. Margi and Dr. Jeffery Tauth. Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years Cheryl Knaub Lea, one son Steven Scott Lea and his wife Tammy of Magnet Cove, one daughter Shannon Porch and her husband Mark of Malvern, one brother, Dennis Lea and his wife Linda of Olympia, WA and four grandchildren, Ryan Todd Porch, Tory Estes Lea, Patrick Lea Porch, Stephanie Diane Lea and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia with Rev. Jerry George officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Delamar Cemetery near Manning.
Memorials may be made to the Social Hill Baptist Church.
