Larry Johnson

Larry J. Johnson, 64, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born July 9, 1947 in Beebe. Larry went to be with the Lord on June 28th 2012. Larry was a Vietnam veteran, a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and bBrother. He was a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church of Beebe, Arkansas. Larry was a resident of Beebe for over 50 plus years; a highly respected individual who had a loving and caring heart for everyone. After 35 years of dedicated service, Larry retired from Remington Arms of Lonoke, Arkansas. Larry also served his community for 17 years as a part-time police officer for the Beebe Police Department. Larry's smile, love and compassion for his family and friends will be greatly missed.
Larry is preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents, Dave & Mary Johnson as well as Henry & Maggie Edwards, as well as his step-father, James W. Wallace.
Larry is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lenora Johnson; mother and stepfather, Gerri & Joseph Green; father and stepmother, Sid & Betty Johnson; children, John & Amy Johnson, Laura and Mike Fones and Melinda Nash; grandchildren, Braedon, Cole, Kinleigh Johnson; Kearsten & Marissa Fones; sister and brother-in-law Mary Ellen and John Matte of Louisiana as well as sister and brother-in-law Renee and Tim Miller of Florida; brother and sister-in-law Brian and Vicky Johnson and brother Rodney Johnson.
"Dad, we know that you are going to a much better place.... where we shall all meet again".
Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Union Valley Baptist Church, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
