Larry Dwayne Ferrell

 

Larry Dwayne Ferrell, age 71, of Hot Springs, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022.

 

He was born on October 30, 1950, in Hot Springs, the son of Bernie Ferrell and Ruby Johnson Ferrell.  On September 13, 1970, he married the love of his life Linda Coker.  He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bob Ferrell, and Roy Don; two sisters, June Suit and Dene Rowe.

 

Larry was a Christian and a member of Center Fork Missionary Baptist Church.  He loved the outdoors, hunting, horse back riding, anything to do with the outdoors, which probably led to his enjoyment of working for the Park Service.  He also loved watching old western movies, especially, Clint Eastwood movies.  But his greatest love was his family, and he will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Ferrell; his son, Brandon Ferrell; his daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Chad Abernathy; five grandchildren, Taylor, Ky, Cole, Kloe and Karson; his sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Larry Suit; several nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of wonderful friends.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 26, 2022, with Bro. Scott Bates officiating in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

 

Interment will be in the Godwin Cemetery, Hot Springs.

 

Pallbearers are Chad Abernathy, Cole Abernathy, Justin Bunn, Tim Ferrell, Larry Don Suit, and Tony Suit.

 

Honorary pallbearers are Doug Boyette, Clifford Coker, Jr., Jerry Merriweather, Larry Gene Suit, Marshall Kassaw and Dr. Michael Mullins.
