Larry W. Counts

Larry W. Counts, born on September 11, 1955, peacefully passed away on September 13, 2024. A proud graduate of Hot Springs High School in 1974, Larry was known for his deep commitment to his family, faith, and community. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy William Counts; and his brother, Dell Roy Counts; who awaited him in eternal rest.

Larry was a dedicated member of the Centerfork Missionary Baptist Church, where he found fellowship and a sense of purpose. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him through both joyful and challenging times. For forty-three cherished years, Larry was a devoted husband to Becky Counts, with whom he shared a life filled with love, laughter, and a multitude cherished memories.

Larry was an outgoing, hard working, caring man that loved the Lord, his family, and the Dodgers (hopefully in that order) with all his heart. He never met a stranger and tried to make everyone in his life feel special and known. He loved spending time with friends and family travelling, camping, and doing all things baseball. He faithfully served others in capacities big or small, from serving as a deacon to refinishing floors. If there was something he could do to help others, he would find a way to get it done. 

His love of laughter and zeal for life will live on in those who knew and loved him. Everyone he knew undoubtedly has a story to tell, a laugh shared, and memory of the man that brought a smile to their face.
