Larry D. Bailey age 57 of Arkadelphia died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at his home. He was born February 14, 1952 in Crossett, Arkansas the son of the late Troy Winfield and Effie Mae Bowden Bailey. Larry was a mechanic and a veteran of the Army National Guard.
Survivors are two sons, Lee Groves of Jonesboro, AR; Kevin Groves of Gainesville, FL; one daughter, Sylvia Hughes of Camden, AR, three step-children, Danny Joe Riley of Malvern, AR; Joe Henry Riley of Sherwood, AR; Shonda Adams of Arkadelphia, AR; five brothers, Terry Bailey of Glen Rose, TX; Gary Bailey of Arkadelphia, AR; Ricky Bailey of Camden, AR; Steve Bailey of Prattsville, AR; Benny Bailey of El Dorado, AR; two sisters, Carolyn Gunter of Natchitoches, LA; Tena Cullins of Prattsville, AR; two ½ sisters, Carolyn Byrd of McLain, MS; Burnell Henry of Cabot, AR; and nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 9, 2009 in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charlton Kingrey and Henry Bell officiating. Interment will be in DeGray Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jonathan and Chris Bailey, Larky, Josh, Ryan and Daniel Reeves. Honorary pallbearers will be Terri Bowen, Toni Davis, Pam Allen and Carol Underwood. Memorials may be made to Baptist Health Hospice 3050 Twin Rivers Dr. Arkadelphia, AR. 71923.
