Lano Marie Skinner, 81, of Sherwood passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009. She was born September 18, 1927 in Metropolis, Illinois, to her parents, Thomas A. Peck and Mae McLean Peck.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, E.M. Skinner, Jr.; her parents; a brother, George Peck; and two sisters, Edna Hudgens and Myrtle Peck.
?Snookie?, as she was known to numerous friends and family members, is survived by her son, Don Skinner and wife, Judy, of Maumelle, and daughter, Karen Haynes and husband, Steve of Brandon, Mississippi. She is also survived by one sister, Ann (Bub) Goldon of Phoenix, Arizona; three grandchildren, Lori Dyer of Maumelle and fianc, Mylan Sides, Stephanie Jones and husband, Tony, of Des Arc, and Scott Haynes and wife, Katie, of Littleton, Colorado; one great-grandchild, Taryn Jones; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
