Lance Douglas Jones

It is with a heavy heart and deep sorrow we mourn the sudden loss of Lance Douglas Jones, 46, of Scott Arkansas on October 12th, 2024. Lance was born on June 4th, 1978 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 

Lance was a faithful man, loving husband, and the best father to his two girls. He was outgoing, never met a stranger, and filled every room with laughter and love. Lance loved cooking, every genre of music, and being outside. Rather it be skiing on the lake, grilling on the back porch watching the hogs, singing while on the mower and weed eating, or spending snow days playing with his girls. Lance worked hard his entire life, having three jobs at once one time, to provide for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love. 

Lance is survived by his wife of 23 years Ashley Jones, two daughters Kayden, 20 and Kinley Jones 14, mother Peggy Griggs (Jerry), father Steven Jones Sr. (Elaine), twin sister Lori Martin (Nate), brothers Steven (Natisha) and Scott (Stacy) Jones, and loving nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his family by marriage, Kay Coaley (Joe), Chuck Adams, grandmothers Betty (Nanny) Onderbeke, Shirley Strange, and Aunt Sharon. 

He is preceded in death by his Grandad, Memaw, Grandpa & Grandma Jones, and nephew Avery Martin. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at Mulberry Cemetery in England, Arkansas. 

Stated in Proverbs 27:19 “As water reflects the face, so ones life reflects the heart”, Lance showed his faith and loyalty throughout his life and will be deeply missed.
