Laetitia Jane Robison East

Laetitia Jane Robison East, 84, of Little Rock, AR passed away on February 8, 2025. She was born in Memphis, TN on March 12, 1940, to Robert Melville Robison and Francis Gunn Robison, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Central High School in Memphis and earned her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University where she earned several academic accolades. She was an advocate for the disadvantaged and worked at the Arkansas State Hospital as a Psychiatric RN before retiring after a twenty plus year career.

She found joy in photography, and the arts, and enjoyed roller blading along the river trails. She was a Master Gardener and could “make the dessert bloom” with her vast knowledge and skills in horticulture.

She leaves behind an older sister, Beverly Hammond, who still resides in Memphis, TN. She also leaves behind her former husband and the father of her children, James C. East. She was the beloved mother of four children: James Hunter East and his wife Dustin Thomason East, the late Lindsey Robison East, Jack Collier East and Letitia “Tish” Jane East. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Lindsey, in 2011. She was a devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren: Evan East, Hannah East, John Collier East, Justin Ryles, Lily Ryles, Avery Ryles, Silas East, Ginger East, and Atticus East. She loved spending time with each grandchild and found delight, not only in their company, but also in their letters and thank you cards.

We shall cherish her memory forever. In lieu of flowers please consider a gift to Arkansas Community Foundation, a charitable organization near and dear to her heart. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Little Rock Funeral Home and services will take place there at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 21, 2025.
