Ladonna L Barr
Ladonna Laquetta Barr of Conway passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020 due to complications from lung cancer with her husband and son by her side.
She was born January 10, 1944 in Geary, Oklahoma. She was the oldest daughter of Edward Ray âBudâ and Erma White Mapes. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Conwayâs First Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class.
Ladonna is survived by her husband James âJimâ E. Barr of Conway, Arkansas. Jim and Ladonna were married September 14, 1962 and have been apart very few times over their 57-year marriage. She is survived by her only son, James L. Barr and wife Heather, along with her only grandson, Andrew J. Barr, all of Conway, Arkansas. She also is survived by her sister, Marilyn Long of Elk City, Oklahoma; her brother, Butch (Chery) Mapes of Hinton, Oklahoma; and a number of nephews and nieces.
A private family burial is planned at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway, Arkansas. The family asks that memorials be made to The Harbor Home of Conway, Arkansas or Conwayâs First Baptist Church in leu of flowers.
