On December 28, 2015, angels descended from heaven to UAMS ICU to take LaCinda (Cindy) Hazel Vaughan home to be with her family and friends in heaven. Her family was at her side. She was born March 27, 1956 in Marshfield, Wisconsin to Kenneth and Theresa Case who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Vaughan and one sister, Miriam. She was a member of North Little Rock First Assembly of God Church and a member of Tim and Shelby Sturdivant Real Life Sunday School Class.
LaCinda is survived by her daughters, Theresia Bethel and husband, Thomas, their sons, Samuel and Thomas, Jr. and Elizabeth Vaughan and fiancé, Jerrold Jesus Price and son, Isaiah; and two sisters, Renee Lynn Case Gray and Karlene Case.
The family wishes to offer a special thank you to the UAMS Cancer Center and ICU doctors, nurses and staff, to her North Little Rock First Assembly Church Family, First Assembly Real Life Sunday School Class, Park Hill Christian Church and World Covenant Church for all their love, prayers and support during her difficult days. Also, to the many other friends who have stayed by her side during her struggle with cancer.
A service to honor her life will be held on Thursday, December 31 at 6:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Brother Gordon M. Honda. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Memorial gifts may be given to NLR First Assembly of God, 4501 Burrow Dr., No. Little Rock, AR 72116.
"I've left life's journey and finally made it home to be with my Heavenly Father. There were times we laughed, we cried, and experienced God's Love on earth. But weep no more, I now rest in the Arms of Jesus and am walking down the streets of Gold. Our time in life is precious, just know that I am now happy, safe and whole. When you think of me you should be filled with Great Joy that I am now at My Heavenly Home Waiting For All of You. I Love All Of You Very Much."
