Kristi Laura Guin, born on April 14, 1979 in Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on October 29, 2024. Throughout her life, Kristi was known for her unwavering strength, compassionate spirit, and dedication to her family and country.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Kristi served 16 years of distinguished service. During that time, she earned numerous commendations, including the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (3 times!), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and Service Medal, and the Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, among many others. She courageously served in an area of imminent danger during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Exemplifying bravery and selflessness as she extended her enlistment for the convenience of the government, never wavering in her commitment.

Kristi found great joy and community at VFW Post 2256 in Benton, where she was known for her vivacious spirit, particularly during BINGO games, both as a player and caller. Her hobbies included reading, listening to audiobooks, traveling with her girls, and collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, which brought her comfort and delight.

Beyond her military achievements and hobbies, Kristi's most cherished accomplishments were her three daughters—Clarissa Bounds of Benton, Arkansas; Paeton Spencer of Benton, Arkansas; and Cierra Guin of Darrington, Washington. Kristi was fiercely protective of her children and those she held dear, earning her the affectionate title of "Mother and Protector of All." Her love and dedication to her daughters was profound, shaping her identity and bringing her immense pride.

Kristi is survived by her loving mother, Anitta Bounds of Fort Worth, Texas; her sister, Kimberly Taylor and husband Greg of Fort Worth, Texas; and her close-knit family at VFW Post 2256 of Benton. She is also remembered by many extended family members and friends will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jackie O. Bounds.

A graveside service honoring Kristi will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 1pm at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, located in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Family and friends are invited to gather to remember and celebrate the remarkable life of Kristi Laura Guin.
