Kimel Johnson

Kimel E. Johnson, 63, of Beebe, Arkansas, passed away March 9, 2016. He was born October 4, 1952 in Vinnie, Kentucky. He served six years in the National Guard. He worked for the Arkansas Highway Dept. for five years, and retired from First Electric after 29 years.

Kimel is survived by one son, Kevin Robert Johnson of Garner; his mother, Hazel (Marvin) Martin of Beebe; his brother, Richard C. Johnson of Searcy; sisters, Bernice (Gary) Goss of McRae, Vivian Ramsey of Beebe, Louetta (Rockey) Blount of Joy; stepbrothers Anthony (Martha) Martin of Beebe, Rick Martin of Beebe; stepsister Carolyn King of Floyd; a very special friend, Carla Mooney; and a whole host of family and friends he loved.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Johnson; his grandparents, Otha and Clara Johnson, and Marley and Elsie Wiggington.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2016, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Veterans Section. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
