Kimberley Huff

Kimberley C. Huff, age 56, passed away unexpectedly at home on November 12, 2016. She'll be shining even brighter than before in a Heaven where there'll be a grand reunion with her beloved grandfather Harry Goon Lee, grandmother Empress Lee and uncle Paul Pu Ming Lee.

Kimberley Ceceilia Lee was born in Queens, New York and later moved with her family to New Hyde Park where she spent her formative years. Some of those early years were also spent modeling where she and her younger sister had very promising careers. Many good times were had at Nathan's Hot Dog stand on Coney Island, going to Jones Beach and of course the infamous Rutt's Hut in New Jersey.

She attended high school at The High School of Art and Design in Manhattan where she majored in the age old technique of screen printing which has its origins in her ancestral country China.

After high school her life became a cross-country whirlwind with her first husband who was in the air force. They lived in Monterey, California, The Bronx, New York, San Angelo, Texas and ended up in Jacksonville, Arkansas in 1980. She often reminisced about riding her bicycle on and off the Jacksonville Air Base in the grueling heatwave of that year.

The next phase of life was also a whirlwind for Kim when she moved from Jacksonville to Rose City, Sherwood, Beebe, Little Rock and eventually North Little Rock. During that time she worked for the Arkansas Gazette, U.S. Postal Service, Sherwood Police Department, a local print shop, Worthen Bank, First Commercial Bank, Little Rock Federal Reserve Bank and First Arkansas Bank & Trust. In 2000 Kim landed at her current safe harbor with the Pulaski County Treasurer's Office where she formed many nurturing and long lasting friendships with her Pulaski County brothers and sisters during a 16 year tenure.

She is survived by her loving partner in life and spouse Buck Powell along with family members Jimmy, Jacklyn, Moxley, Sally and Beth Powell, Gracie Carroll and Carli Walker; sister Lin Lee, brother-in-law Scot Stegmann, nephew Alex Stegmann and niece Morgan Grace Stegmann; uncle Peter Lai Ming Lee, parents Henry and Jean Jee Lee and many other family and friends by whom she will be dearly missed. An informal come as you are celebration of life will be held at 1 pm Saturday November 19th at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Reception will follow the service.
