Sgt. Kevin Wayne Thomas age 24 of Arkadelphia died Monday in Killeen, TX as a result of injuries received in a motorcycle accident. He was serving in the United States Army at Ft. Hood Army Base a member of the 664 Ordnance Company. Kevin attended Arkadelphia High School where he was Arkansas Field Archery State Champion two years and 3-D Archery State Champion one year. He played on several All Star baseball teams, and was in AHS Band. Kevin was a member of the Arkadelphia Church of Christ.
Survivors include his fiancé Amanda Maynard of Ft. Hood, TX, his father Michael Thomas and his wife Tracy of Arkadelphia, his mother, Debbie Seale and her husband Arlon of Arkadelphia, one sister Tonya Clark of Arkadelphia, three step brothers, William Ervin and Brandon Seale both of Arkadelphia and Daniel Seale of Hot Springs, his maternal grandparents, Willis and Vondell Coker of Arkadelphia, one niece Kayla Clark and two nephews Zachary Clark and Raiden Seale.
Funeral services with full Military Honors will be 1:30 P.M. Saturday, November 15 in the Arkadelphia Church of Christ with Jim Buie and Rev. Charles Hargett officiating. Burial will be in the Delight Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Friday evening in Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Honorary pallbearers will be Toby Garner, Derrick Middleton, Jay Spinks, Tony Verba, Daniel Seale, Brandon Seale, and Oakley Atkinson.
