Kevin McChurch

Kevin Michael McChurch, 65, of Maumelle, Arkansas and formerly of Clinton, Iowa, passed away September 9, 2020. He was born November 9, 1954 in Sterling, Illinois to Benjamin McChurch and Joan (McChurch) Hagge.

Kevin graduated from Clinton High School in 1973 and attended Clinton Community College. In 1980, Kevin married Kathleen Hart and they later divorced in 1991. He was employed by Chicago Northwestern Railroad in Clinton and later transferred to Little Rock with Union Pacific Railroad.

Kevin was a highly regarded horseman in the equine industry. He graduated from Oklahoma Horseshoeing School and was a certified equine dentist through the Equine Dental Providers of America. Kevin enjoyed teaching his grandchildren to ride ponies and showing them around the racetrack. Kevin was a loving father, grandfather, and a treasured friend to many. Kevin’s final act was to give the gift of life through organ donation.

Preceding Kevin in death are his father, stepfather, and grandparents.

Kevin leaves behind to cherish his memory three children, Kelly (Craig) Rehn, Davenport, IA, Kyle (Johanna) McChurch, Switzerland, and Kendle (Kassie) McChurch, Ankeny, IA. Five grandchildren, London, Reagan, Knox, Beckham, and Laken. Special friend, Melissa Lowe, Maumelle, AR. Mother, Joan (the late Robert) Hagge, sisters Becky (Dave) Hilgendorf and Cheri Rehr, all of Clinton, IA, and brother, Dan (Debbie) McChurch, Lebanon, TN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation .
