Kevin Akridge

Kevin David Akridge, 44, of Cabot passed from this life on July 19, 2021, at Baptist Health Medical Center after suffering complications for the Covid-19 virus. He was born January 18, 1977, in Tampa, Florida the son of William and Vivian (Sylves) Akridge. Kevin was a one-of-a-kind man. He was always encouraging, and uplifting, had a great sense of humor and an unmatched work ethic. He enjoyed playing golf and Xbox, and tinkering in his garage, but was most happy spending time with his family. His world revolved around his wife, daughter, and dad. Kevin was employed as the Senior Construction Manager/Right Hand Man at Mitchell Construction Company in North Little Rock.  He will forever be remembered for his kind and giving nature, his unwavering dedication to his work and his unending love for his family and friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife Heather Owens Akridge; daughter, Kaylie Vivian Akridge; father, U.S. Army Retired Colonel William Akridge (Heidi Densmore); siblings Heather Spencer (Aaron) of Florida, Juanita Akridge of Connecticut; mother-in-law, JoAnn Smith (Danny Ward) of Hartman; father-in-law, Nathan Owens of Clarksville; sister-in law, Renea Cleaves of Dover, brother-in-law Braxton Owens of Dover, and brother-in-law, Clinton Owens of Clarksville. Other survivors include nieces and nephews, Malachi Spencer, Lily Spencer, Colton Cleaves, Kane Cleaves, Mali Cleaves, Landon Owens, Austin Owens, and Khloe Owens, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00am, Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery under the direction of Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, July 23, 2021, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. An additional time of visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service, beginning at 10:00am, Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Moore’s Funeral Home in Cabot.

At the request of Kevin’s family, masks will be required at the service.
