Kenneth Noel ?Kenny? Wingfield died on December 20, 2006 after a long painful illness. He was born to Noel and Hattie Louise Wingfield on July 10, 1954, they preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Fread Wingfield. Also survivors of the home are four Bengal cats. A recent addition to their family is a Weimaraner named Prissy and a baby Bengal kitten named Misty.
Ken is survived by his sister, Julie and her husband Richard Harrington; an aunt, Virginia Brandon; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles Ed and Shirley Fread of DeWitt; two brothers-in-laws, Sam (Charlotte) Colvert of Atlanta, Georgia, Robbie (Brenda) Fread of DeWitt; and a special niece, Heather Fread.
Aunt Sissie and Uncle Eddie Elrod of Malvern; Aunt Clytine Edwards of Texarkana, Texas, Aunt Lillian Edwards of Alymra, Arkansas, Uncle Carroll and Aunt Linda Edwards of Stuttgart. Ken is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ken graduated from North Little Rock North East and Hendrix College. He had a career in the United States Post Office, Environmental Compliance Specialist for the Southwest Region. His years of service was spent doing all he could to improve the environment. Over the 27 years at USPS he developed programs for the Southwest District and national programs to protect the environment.
Ken request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Ken Wingfield Memorial Account at Arkansas County Bank in DeWitt, Arkansas 72042. Per Ken?s request there will be no formal service. He asked that his friends and family get together and share a laugh and memories. Ken was a member of Mensa, CASA and many environmental groups. Cards maybe sent to 724 S Roy, DeWitt, Arkansas 72042 where his wife is currently staying. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
