Kenneth F Stoll

Kenneth F. Stoll, 80, passed away from his earthly life to his Heavenly home on Thursday, December 28, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, F.X. and Eva Mae Stoll, and his sister, Nancy Eck. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 58 years, Sandy Stoll; three children, Scott and wife, LeAnn, Becky and husband Lex Combs, and Joey and wife, Cindy; and seven grandchildren, Kylea and husband Haden Buckley, Laney, and Kenzie Stoll; Emily Kate and Carter Combs; and Mikaela Boone and Carson Stoll; and a great-grandson, Hank, arriving any day now.

Ken was raised in Farmington, Missouri. He graduated from Murray State University and the University of Arkansas School of Law. After graduation from law school, Ken was a law clerk for the United States District Judge J. Smith Henley. After his clerkship he served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Arkansas before becoming an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas. During his tenure as an assistant, he served for a number of years as First Assistant and Chief of the Criminal Division. He also served as interim United States Attorney. In 1991 Ken was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. He underwent two bone marrow transplants, the second of which was the first outpatient transplant performed. After retiring from the U.S. Attorney’s office Ken volunteered at UAMS visiting and offering encouragement to new patients fighting this disease. After a time, Ken went back to work as legal counsel for the Arkansas State Police until retiring in June, 2011.

Ken enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He and Sandy would cheer for his grandchildren in whichever sport they competed. He also liked to travel with family and friends. Ken enjoyed playing golf with his church group and with the “Clusters” at Rebsamen Golf Course. Ken was a member of Park Hill Church where he served as a deacon, taught boy’s Sunday School and served many years ushering for the early morning service.

Ken believed and lived his life with the guiding principle as stated in Matthew 22:36, Love God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. And, second to love others.
