Kenneth Hoover

Kenneth ?Ken? E. Hoover, 70, of North Little Rock, passed away Monday, January 21, 2008. He was born in Mt. Calm, Texas and raised in South Texas. He was of the Baptist Faith with his membership remaining in Tyler, Texas. He was retired from Texaco after 38 years as a dynamite specialist and from North Little Rock Housing Authority after 13 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce B. Hoover; two sons, Michael Hoover of New Iberia, Louisiana and Mark (Sara) Hoover of Pearl, Mississippi; two grandsons, Matthew and Patrick of Pearl; one step-daughter, Monica L. Mason (Charlie) Harmon of Sherwood; two step-grandchildren, Ashby and Mason Harmon of Sherwood; two sisters, Shirley DeBoor of Lexington, Kentucky and Linda Whitley of Winnsboro, Texas; a sister-in-law, Lisa DeLeon, of St. John, Newfoundland; and a host of family and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Dorothy Hoover.
Ken was a life time lover of animals and the family would appreciate memorials to the Sherwood Animal Shelter, 6500 North Hills Blvd, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 a.m. Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
