Kenneth Hood

Kenneth Hood, age 66, of Amity, died Friday, June 24, 2011. He was born on August 7, 1944, at Yazoo City, Mississippi, the son of Carnell Hood and Erlene McGregor Hood. He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant sister, Carlene Hood. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and was retired from Dan's Whetstone in Pearcy. He is survived by his wife, Lorna Hood of Amity; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Ron Scott of Leesville, Louisiana and Lisa and Rodney Cook of Amity; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Faye Hood of Mooresville, Mississippi and Bruce and Pat Hood of Pearcy. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 27, 2011, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Steve Ash officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, near Alpine. Pallbearers will be Hershel Cox, Ronnie Trott, Rusty Cook, Kyle Johns, Garrie Gordon and Scott Cook. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
