Kenneth Gerald Partain

Kenneth Gerald Partain, age 83, of Glenwood, died Friday, October 4, 2013. He was born on September 26, 1930, at Oakwood, the son of Cecil Partain and Lela Reed Partain. On March 18, 1958, he was married to Patricia Ann Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Avon Partain and Howard Partain. He was a United States Air Force veteran and retired after twenty-one years of service. He also retired from International Paper Company and operated a dairy farm for many years. Kenneth enjoyed caring for his cows, feeding his catfish and being outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Partain of Glenwood; one son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Latricia Partain of Glenwood; four daughters and sons-in-law, Kenna Attwood of Bellingham, Washington, Donna and Tommy Cowart of Dierks, Connie and Lee Joyce of Arkadelphia and Bonnie and Thomas Turner of Pearcy; ten grandchildren, Amanda, Alen, Mark, Leonia, David and his wife Mary, Logan, Hayden, Brittany, Todd and Spencer; one great-grandchild, Kamron; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 6, 2013, in the Glenwood Cemetery with Bro. Gerald Ward officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
