She was stationed in Meridian, MS as a PN2 until her honorable medical discharge. Kelta returned to Arkansas and began working again as a title clerk in her family's auto auction in Little Rock until it was sold.

She loved animals because they loved her unconditionally. Kelta will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, and friend. Kelta never met a stranger and was willing to do anything for the people she loved. Kelta's greatest joy in life was raising her daughter, Kristen. Kelta was a fierce and gentle soul.
