Kelsey Starkey

Kelsey Greer Starkey, of North Little Rock, passed on October 30, 2019.  He was born in Little Rock on March 19th, 1982 to Frank and Janice Starkey, and sister Merrit. He was a graduate of North Little Rock High School Class of 2000. Kelsey owned and operated several small businesses in the area including his car lot, Starkey Auto, and SpaceJump and worked with his Aunt H on rental property. He was a member of Brockington Road Church of the Nazarene.

Kelsey was most comfortable at home with friends and family, sitting watching a movie, telling stories and cuddling with his cat named Cat.  He loved his family and especially his nieces.  He was big on tradition and that was with family. Most will remember Kelsey as the life of the party, a happy-go-lucky stranger to no one. Those lucky to call him a friend will remember his kind heart and eagerness to help a friend in need. Every holiday Kelsey would take plates of his mom's home-cooked food to single elderly people in his neighborhood he'd befriended, who were not blessed with the family he was.

Kelsey was a son, a brother, an uncle, a grandson, but to the people he loved, he was a soldier who would fight for your cause, no questions asked. He would do a favor at any time. He was a smile in every room he walked into. He was a phone call when you were scared at night. He was a beautiful soul gone too soon.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Burlen (Big Peeps) Brents, Walter and Ruby Starkey.  He will be sorely missed by his parents, his sister, nieces: his namesake, Greer Napier, and Kobie Napier; grandmother, Bonnie Brents; aunts and uncles: Helen, who loved Kelsey as her own, Charlotte, Scott, Becky, Larry and Richard.
