Keagan Provost

Keagan Robert Provost, 8, born February 11, 2010 went to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 17,2019 at 7:54 a.m.  after a very long 7 years, 10 months battle with ependymoma brain and spine cancer.

Keagan was the absolute definition of a warrior and will be forever loved and missed by so many.

In addition to his parents, Robin Unwer and Mike Provost. Keagan is survived by his younger brother, Jaxon; grandparents, Mona Unwer, Robert  and Nancy Provost; aunts, Chanin (Casey) Silsz, T.J. Unwer; uncles, Chris Bolin, John David Gunter (Kelly); cousins, Shelby (Josh) Danielle, Christopher, Cody (Kaci), Justin, Katie Grace, Dylan, Dakota and Wyatt. Keagan is preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Unwer; great-grandmothers, Peggy Joe Unwer, Dorothy Provost and Betty Reddell; great-grandfathers, Buddy Unwer and Joe Provost and his aunt Lucy; his A-State Boys M/C; uncles and his Hem/Onc Angels.

Keagan was loved by hundreds of “Aunts and Uncles” and other close family and friends. He touched the lives of so many people with his contagious smile and never give up attitude.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Arkansas Children Hospital nurses and staff, Golisano’s Children Hospital nurses and staff, also Dr. Greg Albert and Dr. Kevin Bielamowicz.

Memorials may be made in Keagan’s name to Arkansas Children’s Hospital 4K, 1 Childrens Way, Little Rock Arkansas 72202.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2019 at New Life Church in Maumelle.  Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at Cleburne County Memorial Garden Cemetery in Heber Springs.  Online obituary and tributes at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
