Katie Elizabeth Martin age 97 of Arkadelphia died Saturday, February 21, 2009 in Arkadelphia. She was born April 19, 1911 in Washington, Arkansas the daughter of the late Will and Ruth Lester Porter. She was a member of Arkadelphia First Baptist Church. She and her late husband, Arthur Martin, longtime residents of Magnolia Manor in Arkadelphia.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Survivors are one son, A. W. Martin Jr. (Jollyene) of Delight, AR; three sisters, Susie Debroskie of Pittsburgh, PA; Louise Huddleston of Magnolia, AR; Betty Whitten of Cuero, TX; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be at 10 A.M. Tuesday in the Old Washington Cemetery, Old Washington, AR with Brother Verlon Wood officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Monday at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
