Kathryn Lucille Orr

Kathryn (Katie) Lucille (Thurman) Orr passed away peacefully on January 2, 2023 at Baptist Health Hospital in Little Rock with her daughters by her side.  Born October 20, 1930 in Pilot Knob Missouri, she was the daughter of Noah and Florence Irene Thurman.  Kathryn was strong willed and independent.  She worked in her early years as an elevator operator in St. Louis and sewed store samples for Country Set Sewing.  Her hobbies included reading, gardening, and cooking.  She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with her family.  She was married to Robert J. Orr on January 1, 1951 in Madison Illinois.  They were married 51 years.  She was preceded in death by her husband and son Robert (John) Orr.  She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Huddleston, Linda Kronk, Diana Jenkins, and Debbie Chichick, a sister, Margaret Couch, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held on April 1, 2023 in Houston, MO.  More details will be communicated as plans are finalized .
