Kathryn Joy Hogan

Kathryn Joy Hogan of Lonoke, Arkansas, went to her heavenly home on October 7, 2022.  She was born on June 1st, 1999.  Kathryn loved dogs, horses, knitting, diamond art and her nieces and nephews.  She loved serving the Lord as a volunteer in children's church and Wednesday night Rainbows at Open Arms Assembly of God in Beebe.  She grew her love of horses at Beyond Boundaries equine therapy.  She volunteered with the Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Organization (ARORA), the Arkansas Donor Family Council (ArDFC) and participated in the Organ Recipient Organization (ORA) and the Transplant Games of America in 2014, 2016 and 2018 to raise awareness about organ donation.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her grandfather Cledis Hogan and cousin Garrett Hogan.

Survivors include her grandmother Pat Hogan of Carlisle; three uncles, John Hogan,  Doug (Jessica) Hogan, Kelly (Abbie) Hogan; her parents, Becky and Chris Hogan; one brother, Chris (Brooke) Hogan; two sisters, Carolyn (Joe) Ziegler and Kimberly (Nathan) Brooks; two nieces, Ava Ziegler and Braelynn Hogan; and three nephews, Jonathan Hogan, Graham Brooks and Griffin Brooks.

At the age of 27 days old she received a heart transplant at Arkansas Childrens' Hospital and her family received the gift that became twenty-three years with this wonderful girl, all because another family gave the gift of life in the midst of their loss.

Memorials can be made to the Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Organization (ARORA).
