Kathryn Jo Hodge

Kathryn Jo Hodge lost her battle with cancer on February 13, 2023. She was born August 10, 1941, to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Jones in Camden, Arkansas.

Kathryn was a teacher for 34 years, retiring in 2003. She graduated from Fairview High School in Camden in 1959 and from ASTC (UCA) in 1964. Kathryn was a Master Gardner, family historian, quilter, and prize-winning flower arranger. She volunteered with children’s programs at the church and was a dedicated tutor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who was her high school sweetheart, Robert Hodge; and two brothers: Charles and Jerald Jones of Louisiana.

She is survived by two loving sons: Michael Hodge (Staisey) of North Little Rock and Scott Hodge of Benton; one much loved Grandchild, Lucas Hodge of North Little Rock; devoted sister, Annette Daniel (Kenneth) of Camden; brother-in-law, Dr. Randy Hodge of Mt. Pleasant, TX; two sisters-in law: Barbara Jones and Lauren Jones of Louisiana;  5 nieces; 4 nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who will all miss her dearly.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Benton, in Selph Hall. Family visitation will be in Selph Hall prior to the service, from 10-11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Benton First Baptist Church’s Missions Program.
