Katherine Sutton

Katherine Jean Sutton of Mabelvale passed from this life on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the age of 92. She was born July 10, 1929, in Columbia, Missouri to the late Slater and Mabel (Semon) Valentine. Jean was of the Christian faith. She relocated to Arkansas from California twenty years ago after the death of her husband. She will always be remembered as a kind and loving, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Sutton, siblings, Bob Valentine, Maye Frazier and Dorothy Garner.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan French, grandchildren, Genevieve Shurtleff (Bud), Yvonne Ellen (Alan), Chris DiLorenzo, great grandchildren, Austin Shurtleff, Allison Doyle and Alex Shurtleff. Other survivors include great great grandchild, Skylar Ellen, great great great grandchildren, Liam and Beckham Doyle and a sister, Faye Richardson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

At Jean’s request she will be cremated. A private family service will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Women and Children First at wcfarkansas.org or Alzheimer's Association at alz.org
