Katherine L Moreland, 85 of Roland, went to be with her Savior and Lord, Saturday April 5, 2009.She was a member of The Church at Pinnacle Mountain. She served in her church as a Children's Sunday School teacher for over 25 years at Natural Steps Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and listening to Gospel music.
Survivors are her husband, Hershal Lee Moreland of Roland; a son, Gary Hershal Moreland (wife Lucy) of Roland; Grandchildren, Gary Don Moreland, (wife Heather) of Roland, Clint A. Moreland (wife Nikki) of Ferndale, and two Great-grandchildren, Myah Moreland and Anna Moreland and a host of many other dear family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Lola McDonald, Cassie Whitt, Hilbert Williams, Marvin Wiliams, Inez Kryer and Henry Williams.
Funeral will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at The Church at Pinnacle Mountain. Burial will be in Natural Steps Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the church.
