Katherine White McCauley age 86 of Okolona died Tuesday, January 5, 2009 at Baptist Hospital in Arkadelphia. She was born August 23, 1923 in Clark County the daughter of Jim and Queen Victoria May White. She was former member of the Okolona Volunteer Fire Department, Okolona City Council, she was chief cook and one of the main organizers of the "Okolona Trail Ride " and a member of the Okolona United Methodist Church. She lived her life for her family, her church and her community. She was the widow of Millard McCauley.
Survivors include one son, Miles "Moots" McCauley and wife Elaine of Prescott, one daughter, Phyllis Rhoden and husband Carroll Dean of Okolona, four grandchildren, Clint Rhoden and wife Michelle, Clay Rhoden and wife Jessie, Mike McCauley and wife Tammy and Kim McKay and husband Chris, six great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Thursday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia. Burial will be in the Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Okolona United Methodist Church or the Smyrna Cemetery Fund.
