Katherine "Katy" Louise Lane Reynolds

“Katy” as known by her family and many friends, left this world on August 2, 2024 at the age of 92 to be with her Heavenly Father. She was born October 28, 1931, in Newark, AR to Henry R. and Maudie Lane.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles R. Reynolds; son, Steve C. Reynolds; two granddaughters, Krista and Tiffany Reynolds; two older sisters, Juanita Bittle and Lola Gray; older brothers, Oscar “Jack” Lane, Roy Lane, John (Shirley) Lane; and one niece and one nephew.

She is survived by her two sons; Scott (Judi) Reynolds of Colorado and Brian (Emmy) Reynolds of Missouri; five grandchildren, Amanda (Ross) Reynolds Jackson, Di, Addi, Kati and Gavin Reynolds; two great-granddaughters, Ainslee and EllaMarie Jackson; two great-grandsons, Jonathan and Audren Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.

Katy graduated from Little Rock High School at age 16 in May of 1948.

After working in the business world eight years, she met and married her life partner, Charles. They celebrated 53 years and 3 months together. She became a “stay-at-home” mom until the boys started school. Her last and longest employment was with Arkansas Blue Cross-Blue Shield until she retired at age 65 with thirty years of service. She then did volunteer work for many years at her church.

Katy was a member of Parkway Place Baptist Church (formerly Baptist Tabernacle) where she grew up from a preschooler to wife and mother.

Visitation will be held 12:30 pm Thursday, August 8, 2024, followed by Funeral Service at 1:30 pm at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, located at 8801 Knoedl Court, off John Barrow Road. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Katy will be laid to rest beside her late husband, Charles, the love of her life.
