Kate Marye Swearingen Haltom, age 91, of the Manchester Community near Arkadelphia died Wednesday, December 08, 2010 at home. She was born October 24, 1919, in Manchester, the daughter of Frank and Nannie Stella Breckenridge Swearingen. She was a member of Manchester United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, J. D. Haltom; her parents; and three brothers; Jessie, Sterling, and Douglas Swearingen.
She is survived by two daughters; Shirley Mack (Joe) of Lake Mary, Florida; Paulette Runyan (Jack) of Benton, Arkansas; one son; John Haltom (Marsha) of Manchester; and five grandchildren; Joe Mack III (Merrilynn), of Sanford, Florida; Melanie Potter (Jeff) of Sanford, Florida; Justin Runyan (Renee) of Little Rock, Arkansas; Bethany Stockton (Dustin) of Hollywood; Jordan Phillips (Clay) of Arkadelphia; and seven great-grand children; Mackenzie, Keegan, and Katie Potter of Sanford, Florida; Katie Keller and River Runyan of Little Rock, Arkansas; Georgia Kate Stockton of Hollywood; Maggie Grace Phillips of Arkadelphia; many nieces, nephews and longtime friend and caregiver Pearl Davis.
Funeral service will be 10 A. M., Saturday, Dec. 11th, at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home with Rev. George T. Whitney and Rev. Travis Langley officiating. Interment will be in Atchley Cemetery in Dalark.
