Karen Kresse Stroud, of North Little Rock, passed away July 5, 2009.
Karen was born March 16, 1949. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCA with a Master's in Special Education and was voted outstanding student in her Master's program.
"Karen will be remembered by her family and friends for her intelligence and her wicked sense of humor. Everyone enjoyed her graceful spirit and love of life. Karen spoke often of her love of family. She was very proud of her beloved daughter, Brittney, and to have been able to welcome her first granddaughter, Iris. She loved watching her family expand through her wonderful husband, Bob, where she gained two more children and a grandson. Karen loved growing up with five brothers and five sisters, with whom she remained especially close and adored throughout her life due to the example set by her loving parents. Karen lived her life with grace and dignity and a beauty both inside and out."
She is survived by her husband, Bob; her daughter, Brittney (Hans); one granddaughter, Iris; a stepson, Brent (Liz) and her grandson, Jude; one stepdaughter, Natali; ten siblings, Tom (Sandy) Kresse, Kathy Kresse, Christy (Jim) Leach, Tim Kresse, Greg (Julie) Kresse, Cynthia Kresse, Sharon (Bevan Alvey) Kresse, Lisa (Paul) Patterson, Kevin (Bridget) Kresse, and John Kresse. She is also survived by her parents, Eugene and Dorris Kresse and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 ? 7:00 p.m. at North Little Rock Funeral Home with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m..
The funeral will be held Thursday at St. Patrick's Church at 10:00 a.m.
Memorials can be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital and the Pulaski County Humane Society
