Karen Lynn Staggs

Karen Taylor Staggs, 71, of Beebe, Arkansas, passed away January 12,2023. She was born May 22, 1951, to Robert and Ruby McCain Taylor in Searcy, Arkansas.

Karen was a beautiful soul. She always strove to be a better person than the one she was the day before. She was Mom to everyone, not just her own kids. She was also Nana to her beloved grandchildren whom she loved fiercely. Even though she was fighting her battle with cancer, she never stopped trying to make sure everyone around her was loved and cared for. She will be greatly missed and always loved by all of us.

Karen is survived by her daughter Stephanie and Bo Glover of Beebe, her son Scott and Rachel Smith of Beebe, daughter Lisa and Phillip Jarry of Greers Ferry, and son Michael Staggs of Bauxite. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jessie (Alivia) Glover; Emily, Audrey, Ruby, Lucy, and Carmen Smith; Brent Staggs, Jessilyn Staggs, Kristyn Cunningham; Julia, Madelyn and Molly Staggs; and Hunter Jarry; five great grandchildren; her sister Geneva and Mike Powell of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama; her best friend Diane Holloway of Southside; her fur babies, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Staggs, and her brother Carlton Taylor.

The family would like to thank her doctors and nurses at UAMS for taking such good care of her through her cancer journey.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe, AR 72012. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
