Karen Lynn Potts went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2023. She was born to Dean and Minnie Belle Martin on November 24, 1949 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She grew up in North Little Rock, graduating from Buckeye Christian School, and was a lifelong member of the First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock. Karen received the Holy Ghost at the age of 7 and was baptized in Jesus name.
At an early age, she developed a love for music and faithfully served her church as a vocalist, song-service leader, and band director. She also taught Sunday School.
Karen enjoyed working in the family upholstery and land development business.
Karen married the love of her life, Clifford Potts and remained faithfully by his side for 38 years. The birth of their daughter, Hannah, brought them much joy; they all shared a love for traveling across the United States.
After her husband retired, they enjoyed antiquing in Benton, Jacksonville, Searcy, and Hot Springs. Karen would often remark, “Let’s go for a ride,” and off they would go!
Karen’s perfect day would include breakfast at a local diner, bargain hunting in the surrounding area and stopping by the church for prayer. She cherished her nightly chat to discuss the day with her sister, Faye.
She will be remembered for her faithfulness and loyalty to her family and church.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Potts, daughter, Hannah Potts, and her sister, Faye Walton, all of North Little Rock. She was especially close to her nieces Jill Corbitt, Krischarna Cooper, and Liz Davis. She will be missed by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Sharon Gwen, at birth, her mother, Minnie Belle Martin, and her father, Dean Martin.
Visitation will begin at Noon, followed by a funeral at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at First Pentecostal Church, North Little Rock. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
