Karen McFadden, 56, passed away November 3, 2020. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe, Arkansas with a private family service Friday morning and a public graveside service at 2:00pm Friday at Hicks Cemetery in Lonoke.
Karen was born on May 7, 1964, in Tacoma, Washington to Van Morris and Joyce Hanshaw. She graduated from Ouachita High School in Donaldson, AR. She married her beloved husband, Harold McFadden on August 28, 2004. She loved visits from her family (especially from her grandbabies!), cooking fabulous meals and enjoying a relaxing day by the pool. Her evenings were often spent spotting deer in the back lot or watching Arkansas football games (where she called for an interception and touchdown on every play). Karen worked at Performance Food Group for over twenty years where she was the Senior Director of Marketing. She loved to travel on work trips around the country, making lasting memories.
Karen is survived by her husband, Harold McFadden, five children, sons, Justin (Jenna) Whorton of Lonoke and Brandon (Brittany) Whorton of Mound, MN, three daughters, Kristen Whorton of Malvern, Tiffany (Justin) McFadden of Cabot, AR and Ashley (Keith) Thrasher of Lexington, GA. Nine grandchildren, Alexis, Dakota, Seraya, Jack, Landon, Kennedy, Addison, Emmalynn, & Joseph. Three brothers, Brian (Diane) Hanshaw of Haskell, AR, Gary Hanshaw of Midway, and Michael Hanshaw of San Bernardino, CA. one sister, Cathy (Bob) Mackey of Midway and mother-in-law Doris McFadden. As well as a host of other family members, friends and colleagues.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Van Morris Hanshaw, Sr. of Conway, mother, Joyce Henderson of Malvern and brother, Van Morris Hanshaw, Jr. of Itasca, TX.

Brother Jimmy Wallace will perform the service.
