Karen Sue Campbell, 70, of Bryant, Arkansas passed away December 16, 2022. She was born April 7, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Robert Dean Zumbrunnen and Viola Lavern (Piker) Zumbrunnen.
Karen was an animal lover. She served on many animal rescue organizations and would advocate for animal rights legislation. She helped to rescue and find homes for numerous animals in her life. She lived a selfless life of service to her family and causes she believed in,
including volunteering for Mother's Against Drunk Driving, serving as a Girl Scouts troop leader, and coaching tee ball. She was one of the first to be trained as a certified pediatric respiratory therapist and focused on children with cystic fibrosis. Karen was an avid Kansas City Royals fan and enjoyed going with her family to games in the summer. She loved gardening, had a green thumb, and raised beautiful flowers. She had a deep love of mountains, the desert and chile from her home in New Mexico. While she had many passions, her ultimate purpose was her family. She found her most joy from being with her children, grandchildren, and sisters.
Preceding Karen in death are her parents and brother, Randy.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Robin Wright and husband Earnest, Christopher Wright, and Abigail Singer and husband Adam; sisters: Kathy Ewing and Cheryl Rodekopf; grandchildren, Jarred and Milo Wright; and many family members and friends who love Karen dearly and will miss her always.
