June Plyler Brewer, age 87, of Glenwood, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 16, 2021.
She was born on June 11, 1934, in Mount Ida, the daughter of Chester Alfred Plyler and Rebecca Ruth Thrash Plyler. On March 26, 1954, she was married to Willie Lee “Bill” Brewer who preceded her in death on October 3, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
June was a 1953 graduate of Kirby High School, where she still loved to cheer on the Trojans. She was an active member of the Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church for many years and loved her church family. Prior to her retirement, she worked for over 30 years as a nurse at the Pike County Hospital in Murfreesboro, where she made many good friends throughout the years. June enjoyed several hobbies, playing the piano, crocheting, sewing, cooking, spending time with her many friends, but her greatest joy in life was always spoiling her family.
June is survived by her children, whom she loved dearly, Becky and Steve Turner of Glenwood, Susie and Bill Bradford of North Little Rock, Clara and Tony Lord of North Little Rock, and Phillip Brewer and Chrystal Baugher of Glenwood; and was a wonderful Mamaw to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. June is also survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law and two sisters and brothers-in-law, whom she also loved dearly, Louise "Babo" and Bill Maroon of Murfreesboro, Warren and Helen Plyler and Harvey and Ona Plyler, all of Springhill, Linda and Bill Gordon of Texarkana, Texas, and Jim and Glenda Plyler of Springdale; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members; and she was a wonderful friend to all she knew.
This is not goodbye, Mom (Mamaw) ... It is SEE YOU SOON!
