June Moore
June Hines Moore, 76, went to be with Lord Jesus on December 18, 2016. She married the love of her life, Homer Lee Moore, on August 10, 1962. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and J. D. Hines. June is survived by her husband, their two sons, Jeffrey Hines Moore (daughter-in-love, Leslie Jennings) and Gregory Lee Moore (daughter-in-love, Natalie Boelter), and four granddaughters: Laura Elizabeth (24), Mary Catherine (22), Abigail (3) and Adrianna (19 mos.), as well as her brother, Billy R. Hines (sister-in-love, Vickie) and nieces and nephews: Kiley, Cameron, Lesley, Hannah, Jon, Kelly, Nancy, Steve, David and Christopher, and brother and sisters-in-love, Charlsie and Mike Moore and Bonnie and Porter (deceased) Chadick.
Born and raised in Prescott, Ark. June graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a B.A. in English and French minor. She and Homer celebrated marriage for more than five decades and taught young married classes at Immanuel Baptist Church. Together, she and Homer raised two sons before pursuing her second career as a speaker, author and teacher of etiquette. She saw manners as respect for others and fulfilling the Golden Rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." (Luke 6:31) She was a lifetime member of Immanuel Baptist Church and taught ladies' Sunday School classes. An avid reader, June never stopped learning and teaching. She enjoyed several close friends and a host of family and friends she shared with Homer. She passed peacefully with family.
Homer and his family will receive visitors, formally, at a visitation to be held at the Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), on Wednesday, December 21 from 5-7 p.m. The memorial service will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church on Thursday, December 22 at 11:00 a.m., Dr. Rex M. Horne, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Food Pantry - Immanuel Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
