Julius Hughes age 75, of Donaldson, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in Baptist Health- Hot Spring County in Malvern. He was born May 17, 1938 to Frank and Eva Holland Hughes. He was a member of Ouachita Missionary Baptist Church and loved to serve the Lord. 
Julius loved hunting, especially deer and coon hunting. He always raised a garden taking produce to market and was always willing to share his garden with his friends and neighbors. He was a avid basketball fan, loved attending games especially the basketball games being coached by one of his nephews. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Vertie Luton, Velvia George, Eloise Davis and one brother. Toy V. Hughes. 
Survivors are his wife, June Hughes, three step-sons, Doug Bitterman of Colorado, David Bitterman of South Dakota, Danny Bitterman of Washington, four step-daughters, LeAnn Minette of Arizona, Linda Fray of Oregon, Nancy Schurman of South Dakota, Amie Rush of Hot Springs Village, AR., two brothers, Jason (Royce) Hughes and Charles Hughes both of Donaldson, two sisters, Erma Green of Monroe, LA., his twin sister, Eula (Robert) Rook of Donaldson, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 3rd at Ouachita Cemetery with Bro. Jerry George and Bro. Jim Owens officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Pallbearers will his nephews, Doyce Tarkington, Junior George, Lyn Rook, Rickey Hughes, Jeff Hughes, Allan Hughes, Bobby George and Ken Green.
