Julia Waynette Shelby, 51, of Bryant passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020. She was born October 26, 1968 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She graduated from Bryant High School and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree at UA Little Rock and her Master’s Equivalency Degree at the CDC in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a microbiologist at Depuy Synthes- Companies of Johnson and Johnson, and a Microbiology Medical Device Specialist at British Standard Institute. She was a friend to All Souls and First Pentecostal Church, where she was dedicated as a baby. She was very generous and loving, and adored by her family and lifelong friends.
Julia is survived by her parents, Brenda Davis Shelby and Jimmy Wayne Shelby; her siblings, Jessica Lynn Shelby Toombs (Randy William), Paul Brent Shelby (Julie Janelle); nephews, William James Toombs and Jackson Gladden; nieces, Julianne Pauline Shelby and Lilly Gladden; and her beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Glenn Standridge; and her grandparents, James and Pauline Shelby and Doyn and Pauline Davis.

Visitation will be 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. A Celebration of her Life will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at First Pentecostal Church.
