Julia Mae Guenther

Julia Mae Guenther passed from this life on March 24, 2023. She was born December 11, 1931 to Ora Alta Huckabee and George Everett Bradshaw in Leslie, Arkansas. She married James Arthur Guenther Sr. on November 16, 1957. Together they raised Georgia Ann, Veronica Jo, Patricia Kolleen, and James Arthur Jr. Julie worked as a nurse’s aide, a school secretary, and managed an assisted living facility over the years. She loved crocheting, drawing and painting, cartoons, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Her later years revolved around letting everyone know that she felt blessed. She was a joy to be around, always  bringing a sense of humor wherever she went. Julie was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Georgia Nell, Jack, Pat, and Sam, her husband Jim, and son Michael. The family she leaves behind of which she was so proud includes daughters Georgia Stone, Veronica (Charles) Simpson, Patti (Wayne) Tidwell, son Jimmy Guenther, grandchildren JB, Terri and Kerri, Bobby, Brittany, Noah, Fonzo, Cody, Nick, Tyler, and Thomas, and a host of great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, with service to begin at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.
