Julia Coleman, age 79, of McCaskill, died Thursday, March 1, 2012. She was born on November 13, 1932, in Platt City, Missouri, the daughter of Richard and Helen Runyan. Julia was married to Verlin Howard Coleman, Sr. on September 26, 1953, in San Jacinto, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Richard Lane Coleman, and one sister, JoAnn Sandifer. Julia was a member of the McCaskill Community Church and the current pastor's wife. She was a missionary and Bible School teacher in New Delhi, India and also a dorm supervisor for the high school girls at Woodstock School in Mussoorie, India. She attended San Jacinto College in Texas and was a licensed Assembly of God Minister. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Bud Coleman of McCaskill, two sons and daughters-in-law, Verlin Coleman, Jr. and wife Sandy of Lamar and Tom Coleman and wife Danielle of Colorado Springs, Colorado, one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Loe and husband Robert of Prescott, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law Tom Runyan and wife Stanie of Sacramento, California, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 4, 2012, in the Friendship United Methodist Church in McCaskill with Rev. Ron Drye officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, at the Friendship United Methodist Church in McCaskill. Interment will be in the Merrill Cemetery in Belton under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Tim Coleman, Lyle Coleman, Clinton Coleman, Seth McDonald, Scott McDonald, Sean McDonald, and Austin Overton. Honorary pallbearer will be Nathanial Coleman.
