Judy LeVee Putt, age 75, of North Little Rock, died peacefully at Arkansas Hospice on Sunday, October 8, 2006 following a nine month battle with lung cancer. She was a very loving and kind mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She had a generous and compassionate spirit and was loved by all who knew her. Her legacy will be her open heart and her encouraging words for anyone in need.
She was born August 23, 1931 in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Clarence and Ruth LeVee. She attended high school at Mount Saint Mary?s Academy in Little Rock and Nyack High School in New York and college at St. Joseph?s in Cincinnati, OH. Prior to her illness, she volunteered for the Stephens Ministry and St. Vincent Hospital. She was a member of St. Andrews Cathedral and counted among her many friends the Mount Saint Mary?s Class of 1949 and her coworkers at TIMEX, Worthen Bank and the Catholic Diocese of Little Rock.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Randy and Dixie Putt of Cave Springs, daughters Paula Aultz and Laura Cole of Little Rock, son Rell Putt of Little Rock, sister Dodie Maurer of Belton, MO, brother Louis and sister-in-law, Scilly LeVee of Virginia Beach, VA, brother in law, R.L. Putt of Heber Springs, AR, eight grandchildren, Daniel Keeton, Ashley and Wesley Putt, Jordan Putt, Adam and Geoffrey Aultz, Taylor and David Cole and one great grandchild, Lucas Keeton.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, at St. Andrews Cathedral in Little Rock with burial to follow at the Little Rock National Cemetery. A Rosary service will be held at 5:00 P.M., Wednesday followed by a visitation from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M., at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
The family thanks the staff of Arkansas Hospice and Doctors Lawrence Mendelsohn and Gail McCracken for their expert care and loving kindness. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mount Saint Mary?s Academy, Helping Hand or Humane Society of Pulaski.
