Judy Hollowell

Judy Hollowell

Judy Lynn Irish Hollowell, 68, of North Little Rock was born November 9, 1950 in Lincoln, Illinois to Paul Nicholas and Margaret Jane Boone Irish; sister to Joy and French. She attended Hall High School and graduated in 1969. She then spent a couple of years at the State College of Arkansas (now known as UCA) where she met her husband of 49 years, Tommy Hollowell.

Judy returned to Little Rock with Tommy and pursued a career in medical transcription where she worked for two amazing doctors, Dr. Sexton Lewis and Dr. Bill Hefley. She was a dedicated employee and felt privileged to have been gifted the work friends/families that came with the job that truly was not just something she did, but a part of who she was.

Judy loved God and modeled a servant heart in her daily life. She was a very involved member at First United Methodist Church in NLR. Church was a place of comfort and friendship for her. Her Christian life impacted many and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all that knew her. Judy was the most selfless person and always put others needs before her own. She was love and light.

Judy saw the value of friendship and placed high importance on nurturing those relationships, as a result she leaves this world with her imprint of friendship on so many. No matter if you stemmed directly from her family tree she loved you as if you were her own. Judy's bright blue eyes and beautiful smile will forever be remembered.

Judy and her husband, Tommy, had the most indescribable bond full of fun and laughter. Judy loved Tommy more than anything in this world and did her best day to day to make him happy and proud. They are such an example of a loving supportive and Christ-Centered marriage. They were truly a team, a unit, a pair; everyone knew it, it could not be missed. If you knew Judy, you knew Tommy. An unconditional love that is an example to all who were able to witness their bond.

Their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Emily and Amy. She was the ultimate example for her girls. She showed them how to be a mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a friend, a Christian, a hard worker, a good person; she showed them "All The Things". Not only did she hold the title of Mom, but she was "JuJu" to her four grandchildren, Wilson, Abby, Emma, and Caroline. Of all the titles she held, this was by far her favorite and she was the BEST at it. Her legacy of love and Motherhood will be carried on through her daughters and grandchildren.

She quietly departed this life surrounded by family and friends on August 18, 2019. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of those left behind.

Judy is survived by her husband, Tommy Hollowell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Emily and Ryan Harris and Amy and Morgan Landry; “JuJu” to four grandchildren, Wilson, Abby, Emma and Caroline; sister, Joy Crow (Jay); brother, French Irish (Cindy). Nephews, Nick (Brittany), Paul; Nieces, PJ (Robert); Grandnieces, Peyton, Presli, and Lexi; Grandnephew, Charlie. She was preceded in death by her parents.
