Judy Carmical

Judy Faye Douglas Carmical, 65, of Cabot, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009 after fighting cancer to a standstill for more than five years.
Judy was born September 28, 1944, to Earl and Dovie Sanders Douglas in Cabot, AR and was the youngest of three children. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cabot.
She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Dovie Douglas, twin infants Karen and Daren Carmical, and brother Gene Douglas, Sr. of Jacksonville.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Virgil Lynn Carmical of Cabot, son Kevin Carmical of Conway, daughter and son-in-law Becky and Rick Bridges of Jacksonville and their children Tyler, Brandon, and Chad; sister and brother-in-law Freva and Buck Johnson of Cabot, great-grandchildren Christopher and Juliana, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
Judy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her greatest enjoyment was being with friends and family, enjoying a good meal and listening to bluegrass music at Mt. View. She loved being "Mimi" to Tyler and Brandon, and she was her family's biggest fan, tirelessly supporting her children and grandchildren in all of their activities even as her health declined.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Diane Wilder and staff as well as Arkansas Hospice for their care.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Sumner Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
