Judy Humphries Burnett, of Maumelle, loving wife, mother, "Nana" and friend, lost her long and courageous battle with Breast Cancer on Friday, November 14, 2008.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Teddy; son, Benjamin Burnett of North Little Rock; daughter, Elizabeth Meyer and her husband, Damon of Little Rock; sisters, Betty Irby and her husband, Jimmy of Mayflower and Shirley Cunningham of Des Arc; and granddaughter, Sarah Cates Meyer.
Judy was a graduate of Des Arc High School and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, College of Education. Her teaching career spanned 35 years, spending the past 17 years in the North Little Rock School District.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 17, 2008 from 5-7 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Reverend Travis Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle, AR.
