Judy Lynn Borchert

Judy Lynn (Carroll) Borchert (“Skippy” to her beloved husband) passed away October 3, 2024. She is predeceased by her parents, L.J. and Allie (Coats) Carroll. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Tommy D. Borchert, by her brother George C. Carroll, her niece Shelly Ray and her nephew Brad Carroll.

Judy was born on June 18, 1947 in Magnolia, AR. She grew up in Camden, AR and graduated from Fairview High School and Southern State College (Southern Arkansas University). She met the love of her life and best friend, Tommy, while attending Arkansas A&M College in Monticello (University of Arkansas at Monticello). They shared an appreciation and love of the outdoors and hunted ducks, quail and pheasant in Arkansas, Iowa and Kansas. They were involved for many years in conservation organizations. They raised Brittany spaniels who were part of those hunting trips. She is predeceased by her beloved Brittanies Beau, Pepper, Jake, Sparky and Mollie and German Shepherds “T.J.” and Mitzi.

Judy was employed as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper for over 40 years. Her employers included Pulaski Bank and Jim East of JCE Leasing, LLC and JCE Farms, LLC.

Judy and Tommy are members of Grace Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 8, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Leroy Leach officiating. Internment will be at 9:00 a.m. on Friday at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland, North Little Rock, AR. If attending you are asked to be at the cemetery guard station by 8:30 a.m.
