Judy Lyn Bindner

November 9, 1949 — July 22, 2022

Bryant

Judy Lyn Bindner, 72, of Bryant, Arkansas passed away July 22, 2022.  She was born November 9, 1949 in Lonoke, Arkansas to the late Joseph Jerry Jamar and Carol (Mullen) McCarver.

Judy attended college at Northeast Louisiana State University.  She worked for many years in the accounting department with SCAN-Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Agency and in medical transcription. Her favorite job of all was helping watch her grandchildren, who were the light in her life.  Judy was the most creative person and could always be found working on a new project.  She and her husband enjoyed travelling.  Some of their favorite trips were to New Orleans to eat crawfish and crab and family trips to Disney.  She had many Wizard of Oz collectibles.  Another hobby Judy enjoyed was searching for antiques at local flea markets and antique malls. Music was a large part of Judy’s life, with over 13 jukeboxes in her home.  They also collected old 45 records.  One could say Judy and her husband were “Lost in the 50’s”.

Left to cherish Judy’s memory are her loving husband, Allen Bindner of Bryant, Arkansas; children:  Kari Lyn Pope and husband Josh of Benton, Arkansas, Robert Denk of Portland, Oregon, Erika Denk of Washington, and Richard Fernandez of West Palm Beach, Florida; grandchildren:  Seth Pope, Liam Pope, Ivan Pope, Aria Pope, Aaliyah Fernandez, Renee Fernandez, and Kora Fernandez; siblings:  Richard McCarver and wife Jamie of Arlington, Texas, Pat McCarver of Conway, Arkansas, and Robyn McCarver of Little Rock, Arkansas; and many family members and friends who love Judy and will miss her always.

Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 PM, Monday, July 25, followed by memorial service at 2:00 PM, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street in Benton, Arkansas.  Judy loved to wear tie-dyed shirts, so family would love to see you wear your favorite at her service!
